Founded in 1994 by guitarists Alastor Mysteriis and Devolthan, Sweden's Setherial tread the dour and undeviating path to black alloy Hell besides trafficked by fellow Scandinavian acts of the Apostles like Marduk, Emperor and Darkthrone. Come 1996, the group -- by now too featuring singer Kraath, bassist Thorn and drummer Zathanel -- was punctually prepared to enter illustrious Abyss Studios, from whence they emerged in due time bearing their acclaimed Nord debut. Follow-up efforts Lords of the Nightrealm (1997) and Hell Eternal (1999) sawing machine numerous dress changes, and a extended absence preceded Setherial's eventual render to action with 2003's Endtime Divine album.
